Account & Data Deletion

Delete your account (in the app or on the web)

1. Sign in to Apiary Tools (the mobile app, or apiarytools.com).
2. Open Settings.
3. Scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom and choose Delete account…
4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately — your account and data are removed from our active systems right away, and you are signed out on all devices.

Can't sign in?

If you no longer have access to your account, send a deletion request from the contact page using the email address the account was registered with, and I'll delete it for you within 30 days (usually much sooner).

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in identity (email address, or linked Google/Apple sign-in)
• Your profile, preferences, and settings
• All apiaries, hives, queens, inspections, notes, and to-dos
• All photos you uploaded (hive photos, queen photos, avatar)
• Inspection reminders, email/push notification subscriptions, and device push registrations
• Collaborator invitations you sent or received

What may be kept, and for how long

• Encrypted backups: deleted data can persist in routine database backups for up to 30 days before those backups are rotated out; it is not restored or used.
• Anonymized analytics: aggregate usage statistics (e.g. page-view counts in Google Analytics) are not tied to your identity and can't be traced back to you.
• Donation records: if you supported the project, the payment record is held by the payment provider (e.g. Buy Me a Coffee) under their own privacy policy — we don't store your payment details.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Signed in, you can at any time:

• Delete individual apiaries, hives, inspections, notes, or photos (each is removed immediately)
• Turn off or unsubscribe from email reminders and push notifications in Settings
