Is Apiary Tools free on iPhone?
Yes. Every feature is free, there is no subscription and nothing is locked behind a paywall. There are no ads and no hive limit. There is an optional tip in the menu if you want to help with the running costs, and it unlocks nothing.
Does the beekeeping app work offline?
Yes. Open your hives, record an inspection and add photos with no signal at all. Everything is stored on the phone and syncs the moment you are back in range, which is the point when your yard has no bars.
Can I use the same account on my phone and a computer?
Yes. The iPhone app, the Android app and the website are the same account and the same data. Log an inspection in the yard and it is on your laptop when you get home.
What iOS version do I need?
iOS 15 or later. It is a universal app, so one download covers iPhone and iPad.
Can I share hives with someone else?
Yes. Give a spouse, a mentor or a helper access to specific hives or apiaries and they can add inspections, notes and photos from their own account, without you sharing a login.
Does it track varroa treatments?
Yes. Log a mite count by alcohol wash or natural drop, record what you treated with and the dose, and it stays with the inspection. Everything comes out in a CSV or PDF export.
Is there an Android version?
Yes, on Google Play. Same account, same hives.
